Our family of three ~ Indian Ocean ~ Perth Australia ~ Thursday afternoon.
One phone call from a childhood friend changed everything.
We had already made the decision that we wanted to "do life different" and planned on figuring things out after the wedding. We really did enjoy corporate communications and real estate, but the amount of time it took to be amazing in our careers left us with little time to actually live our lives.
To make a long story short, this friend's phone call ultimately introduced us to a group of other young professionals who were doing the "corporate thing" during the day, but outside of job hours were entrepreneurs & radical thinkers excited about creating additional income streams and calling themselves "the boss." We were excited to launch our own business that combined e-commerce & networking in a single business model that had the potential to really change our lifestyle.
The end of the story? For us, we kept working in our full-time professions while building our new business venture. After three and a half years, at the age of 30, we were able to walk away from corporate communications and not long after real estate. We've spent nearly two decades continuing to build our business, pursue our dreams and goals and help other professionals do the same.
Today, our newest project has graduated us from e-commerce to mobile commerce in a fast-moving connection economy where we can use our mobile phone and our connections to develop business networks that can create both time & income.
And that's how we can do life totally different.
